tomica

About tomica
"Bringing Japanese children miniature cars of domestic vehicles."

In 1970, during an era when miniature cars were mostly foreign models or large 1/43 scale vehicles, tomica was born.
tomica introduced an entirely new concept: palm-sized miniature cars of Japanese domestic vehicles.

To give children the feeling of holding a real car in their hands, the material was made of die-cast metal.
The paint used was the same baked enamel coating as real cars.
On top of that, tomica featured realistic suspension systems and smooth-running performance, all at an affordable price, quickly making it a popular product.

In Japan today, 86.5% of boys under the age of seven own a tomica car.
The timeless admiration children feel for cars has helped tomica become a long-selling brand beloved across three generations of families.

Currently, tomica offers a lineup of 140 models at all times, with new cars released every third Saturday of the month, refreshing its collection regularly.
About tomica Premium
It's a "tomica for Adults" series that uses dedicated molds to recreate the car's form, detailed paintwork, printing, and wheel design, bringing realism to every possible detail.
About tomica LIMITED VINTAGE
"What if Tomica had been born in the 1950s?"

This miniature car series is designed with that concept in mind, meticulously recreating Japanese cars from the 1950s to the late 1960s at a 1/64 scale.
About tomica LIMITED VINTAGE NEO
This series builds upon the concept of tomica Limited Vintage, while adding newer models, commercial vehicles like trucks and buses, and even foreign car models to the lineup.

TLV-NEO focuses on iconic cars from after 1970, the year tomica was born, and centers around vehicles that were not previously made into tomica products.
This allows for a broader range of models and eras that the original TLV series couldn’t cover, appealing to a wider fan base.

Additionally, TLV-NEO offers sets that include figures and accessories in the same scale as the miniature cars, enabling more realistic scene recreations.
